1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of KickedIn — the website, mobile experience, and related services at kickedin.app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

KickedIn is a network for football players, coaches, scouts, clubs, and academies to build verified profiles, share footage, run challenges, and connect around real opportunities. If you use KickedIn on behalf of a club, academy, or agency, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on that organization's behalf.

2. Who can use KickedIn

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, by creating an account or otherwise using KickedIn you confirm that your parent or legal guardian consents to you using the platform — including building a profile, uploading photos and video, and being contacted by verified coaches, scouts, clubs, and academies. We may ask for extra verification steps for accounts belonging to minors, and a parent or guardian can contact us at any time at kickedin12@gmail.com to review, adjust, or delete a minor's account.

Player accounts are open to anyone who meets the age requirement above. Coach, scout, academy, and club accounts require a one-time profile activation code issued by KickedIn after we've agreed terms with you directly — this keeps the professional side of the network verified.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile — including your age, club or academy affiliation, and any credentials you claim — and for keeping your login credentials secure. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or shared.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, posts, comments, and other content you upload to KickedIn (“your content”). By posting it, you grant KickedIn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content to operate, promote, and improve the Service — for example, showing your highlight clip in a scout's feed or a challenge gallery, or featuring it in KickedIn's own marketing, including our social media pages. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has been shared with others, used in marketing already published before deletion, or retained as required by law.

You're solely responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it (including footage featuring other players, where applicable) and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create a fake profile, impersonate someone else, or misrepresent your age, identity, or credentials;
• Harass, threaten, or send unwanted or inappropriate messages to any other user, including minors;
• Post content that is unlawful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or exploits or endangers a minor;
• Solicit payment, fees, or personal financial information from players in exchange for trials, transfers, or representation;
• Scrape, mass-download, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service;
• Attempt to bypass verification, profile activation codes, rate limits, or other access controls; or
• Use the Service to build a competing product.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice where we believe it's necessary to protect the community — particularly minors.

5. Verification & coach endorsements

Verified badges, coach endorsements, and activation-code-gated accounts reflect claims and relationships submitted by users and reviewed by KickedIn or a coach on the platform — they are not a background check, credit check, or guarantee of a person's identity, character, or professional standing. Exercise your own judgment before relying on them, and always take normal safety precautions before meeting anyone or sharing personal contact details.

6. Challenges & prize money

From time to time KickedIn runs video challenges with cash prizes. Some challenges require a fixed entry fee, set by KickedIn and shown on the challenge before you enter; entry fees are processed in Ghanaian cedis (GHS) by our payment partner and are non-refundable, including if you're later disqualified. By entering a challenge you agree to its specific brief and eligibility rules, and confirm the footage you submit is your own recent play.

Voting is open to anyone, whether or not you have a KickedIn account — each vote is verified with a one-time code sent by SMS to your phone number, and you may cast one vote per challenge per phone number. A winner isn't announced automatically once voting ends — KickedIn reviews the results and confirms the winner, and may disqualify an entry (including a leading or already-confirmed one) if we find evidence of fraudulent footage, vote manipulation, or a Terms violation. Confirmed prize money is paid out manually by our team via mobile money to the phone number and network you provide — you're responsible for providing accurate payout details and for any taxes owed on prize winnings under the laws that apply to you. We may withhold or reverse a payout if we find evidence of fraud after payment.

7. Messaging & connections

Any KickedIn user can message any other user, regardless of role. We expect every conversation on the platform to stay professional and on-topic, and links are not permitted in messages. You can report or block any user, and we review reports involving minors as a priority. We may access message content when investigating a report, a safety concern, or a legal obligation.

8. AI features

Features like “KickedIn Eye” use automated systems, including third-party AI models, to surface player recommendations and answer questions. AI-generated answers and recommendations are a starting point for your own review, not a guarantee of a player's fit, availability, or accuracy — always confirm details on the player's profile before acting on a suggestion.

9. Intellectual property

The KickedIn name, logo, and the Service's design, code, and features are owned by KickedIn or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to use the Service normally.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for KickedIn or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (like ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. KickedIn is a discovery and communication platform — we don't guarantee trials, contracts, transfers, prize eligibility outcomes, or that any scout, club, or academy on the platform will act on a profile. We're not responsible for the conduct of other users, on or off the platform.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KickedIn and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be handled in the courts of Ghana, unless local law where you live requires otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as KickedIn evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
